National Stadium of 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China


The National Stadium, in the Olympic Park, in Beijing built for the 2008 Summer Olympics is also known as the Bird's Nest Stadium. This is the world's largest steel structure and the most complex stadium ever constructed. It is saddleshaped. The interlocking steel parts resemble a lattice of twigs. Beijing National Stadium hosted spectacular Opening and Closing Ceremonies with Confucius Cultural Activities, athletic events, and football final of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
