SUMMER PALACE NEAR BEIJING CITY

A part of Summer Palace

The Summer Palace, originally known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, is a magnificent imperial garden located at 15 KMs north of Beijing City. This is the largest preserved ancient garden in China. This was summer retreat for emperors. This garden comprises more than 100 ancient style pavilions, mansions, towers, halls, temples, lakes and bridges. During summers the imperial family preferred this beautiful garden, known as the Royal Garden Museum, to the walled-in Forbidden City.
