The Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family, also known as the Chen Clan Academy or Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, is a historic and cultural landmark in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. It was built between 1888 and 1894. It served as both a place to honor ancestors and an academy for Chen family members preparing for imperial examinations. The temple is a prime Art, Museum, example of Lingnan (South China) architectural art, covering 13,200 square meters with 19 buildings, 9 halls, and 6 courtyards. Guangdong Folk Art Museum: Since 1959, the temple has housed this museum, showcasing traditional Guangdong crafts like embroidery, ceramics, paper cutting, and watercolor art.
