Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, in Hunan Province, China, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dramatic quartzite sandstone peaks, lush forests, and rich biodiversity. Established in 1982, it spans over 4,800 hectares and is part of the larger Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The park inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar, with its iconic pillar-like formations, deep valleys, and mist-shrouded landscapes. Bailong Elevator is a 326 meter glass elevator built into a cliff, providing quick access to Yuanjiajie area. The park’s unique geology, formed over millions of years, and its cultural significance relate to local Tujia, Bai, and Miao ethnic groups.
