Edward Robb Ellis American journalist, author, and famous diarist on 26th September 1938 in his diary wrote that the "Mad dog of Europe (Hitler), with oratory, demanded extremely and caused World War II.
Edward Robb Ellis US journalist, author, and diarist and many opposed the US' involvement in war, only 20 years after World War I, "the war to end all wars". His diary for 26.9.1938 is: "Today I heard Hitler. The Mad Dog demanded that Czechoslovakia to give Germany Sudenten area of that country, which is inhabited by the German minority. His oratory chilled one's blood. People feared of war. Young men questioned the compulsory army service. Women tremble lest their men be thrust into battle. In December 1941, Japan attacked the American Naval Base, Pearl Harbor. 8 battleships were damaged, 4 sunk, and 2,400 Americans killed. Prez Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan. Hitler and Mussolini did the same on the US.
