DAP's goals were German nationalism, unification of ethnic Germans, Anti-Semitism: Strong prejudice against Jews, Anti-Marxism: Opposition to communism and socialism. It is a racial and cultural nationalist movement emphasizing "pure" German identity. The DAP was inspired by the Thule Society, a secretive, right-wing, anti-Semitic organization, and the Pan-Germanist Union.
