Royal National City Park is the world’s first national urban park, established in 1995 in Stockholm, Sweden. In 27 Sqare Kilometers, it covers parts of Stockholm, Solna, and Lidingö municipalities. It is unique with natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational spaces. The park features oak forests, marshes, lakes, beaches, and historic royal parks like Djurgården, Haga, and Ulriksdal. It is home to 4 royal palaces, 22 museums, theaters, restaurants, Vasa, Skansen open-air museums, 100 species of breeding birds, 800 varieties of flowering plants, 1,200 beetle species, and 800 years' old oaks like Prince Eugen. It is protected under the Swedish Environmental Code to preserve its ecological, cultural values, to balance conservation with sustainable development.
