ILLEGAL OCCUPATIONS LEADING TO CLIMATE POLLUTION

 


Natural water tank of Adavi Takkellapadu village near Guntur town in Andhra Pradesh. This tank is occupied on its three sides. The principle of "Prevention is better than cure" is neglected by the authorities concerned due to illegal practices. Both the ruling and the opposition parties opportunistically dominate this village. Both late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and N.T. Rama Rao are witnessing this trespass, duly standing there as a life-size statues. 


On the western side of the tank, in a compound, buses of the SRM University are parked. It is better in a way that the buses of Oxford, Bhashyam, Top Kids, etc., schools are parked on the roads of Guntur city. 


On the eastern side of the tank, a big commercial building is constructed. Hope these occupations are not of  "others", the Muslims. Or else, in the future, if the BJP forms a Government in A.P., these buildings will be razed by excavators under Bulldozer culture.

VENKATRAMAN RAMAKRISHNAN

  Venkatraman Ramakrishnan is named one of the 25 Greatest Global Living Indians by NDTV Channel, India on 14 December 2013.   Venkatraman   Ramakrishnan is an Indian-born British-American structural biologist best known for his work on the structure and function of ribosomes, which earned him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009. He won this award together with Thomas A. Steitz  an American biochemist  and Ada E. Yonath  an Israeli (lady) Crystallographer  "for studies of the structure and function of the ribosome." Ramakrishnan was born on 01 April 1952 in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India. He studied physics at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and obtained a Ph.D. in physics from Ohio University in 1976.
