VISHNU TEMPLE IN ANGKOR THOM CAMBODIA

Image
Buddhism was developed before Christ. Angkor Thom, near Siem Reap in Cambodia, was built in 1181 Current Era. It is being referred to as a Vishnu temple. In the statue of this temple, the pinnae of the ears are elongated up to the shoulders. The fists are closed. One of the palms is open-fingered. It is laughing. The crown is like the cap of a Buddha Bhikshu. These postures are of Buddha. Like the idols of Venkateswara in Tirumala (Vishnu temple now), Amaravati (now Shiva temple depicting Buddha Stupa as Shiva Linga) of Andhra Pradesh, and Sabarimala (temple of Ayyappa, son of Vishnu and Shiva, both males surprisingly) of Kerala, the stone idol of Angkor Thom is also of Buddha. This is a Buddha temple.

THE STATUE OF VARAHA IN THE RAMTEK TEMPLE MAHARASHTRA

Image
The Statue of Varaha Murthy in human form up to the neck from the legs and with the head of a pig lifting a globe on his canines (conical pointed teeth) as an incarnation of Vishnu is normally installed in Hindu temples. It is propagated that in the Ramtek temple, the stone statue of a Pig is installed in the open ceiling mandap as a deterrent to Muslims wanting to vandalise the temple. Is the statue so hated that it drove the people away, discarding their committed task?

HEALTHY WOMAN - EMPOWERED FAMILY

Image
Our "Prime Servant" Shri Narendra Modi, on his 75th birthday, with the highly ornate bow and arrow, in Dhar, the city of sword blades, in Madhya Pradesh, India.  Our PM inaugurated the "Healthy Woman Empowered Family" Scheme. The relevance of the Bow and Arrow, with this scheme, is unknown. These weapons are taken up to highlight the knowledge of the valery through Sri Ram, the King God, conveniently neglecting the Backward Caste God Sri Krishna. The Bow and Arrow in modern times are mostly used by, and hence the symbols of the Aadivashis, the Mulavashis. These tribals are being killed under the guise of the danger of Naxals. Their living areas, with rich natural resources, are being made over to their blessed Multinationals. Let us beware that all these Avatars are only election gimmicks.

HITLER AND MODI SPOKE ALIKE

Image
Adolf Hitler on the 10th February 1933 spoke first time as Chancellor. Addressed people as the German National Comrades. Indicated to break the Versailles Treaty and invade other European nations. Blamed former rulers and opponents (Modi always blames Nehru and the "others"). Promised one realisation, one conviction, a new community, Germany's triumph, eternal laws, values, and will power of flesh, blood, and soil, decency in rule and public life, glorious Reich (parliament). Explained the goal of struggles, and scolded the class theories. Insisted education should implant belief in God and Volk in children and youth. ELECTION BASED OPPORTUNISTIC FREEBIES

Image
The head of the Union Government criticised the freebies to the citizens. BJP won the elections in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc., by advertising freebies to the voters, especially to women. PM Modi auctioned freebies for the votes in 2016 Bihar state election. Later, he and his cabinet heckled freebies. Neglecting SC's advice Prime Minister opportunistically announced many freebies in later states' elections. The election promises are not fulfilled. In the Delhi State election, the BJP competed with AAP in announcing freebies. Kept their number and quantity open till the election. Polution, bad roads, traffic snarls, street lights, slums in Delhi, and poverty, unemployment, suicides by students and farmers, people's health, women's safety, Minimum Support Prices to farmers, high cost of living, inflation, religious lynching, rupee devaluation in the country are neglected because they don't yield votes.

PRETRIAL PUNISHMENT UNDER STATE'S NARRATION

Image
66 months' jail without trial. Judiciary upheld the State's Narration, played wait game. Pretrial punishment became normal under the guise of national security.  Political activists, journalists, and students by questioning, protesting and activities protect democracy, constitutional provisions, and lead to good governance. Laws shouldn't be misapplied to silence voices of dissent. UAPA broke constitutional provisions of justice, liberty, and dignity. The right to question authority leads to indefinite imprisonment. The constitutional principle of innocent until proven guilty, is inverted. Dramatically, the accused must prove the accusation is not prima facie true. Refusal of bail, punishment without conviction violate the right to live, and lead to loss of faith in the judicial system.

GENDERLECT THEORY OF DEBORAH FRANCES TANNEN, AMERICAN AUTHOR

Image
Deborah Tannen, an American author and a liguistic professor. She focussed on genderlect theory of miscommunication between men and women.  'The Argument Culture: Moving from Debate to Dialogue' by Deborah Frances Tannen explores how modern society adopted an adversarial approach to communicate, favoring debate and confrontation over constructive dialogue. She argues this 'argument culture' permeates media, politics, law, and personal interactions, framing issues as polarized battles. She critiques how this mindset stifles mutual understanding and problem-solving. She proposes dialogue that emphasizes listening, collaboration, and finding common ground. Tannen highlights the ventriloquising phenomenon- a person (woman) speaking for and as another (man).

BROKEN DREAMS OF GEN Z

Image
The students, especially the girls, with dreams of a golden future and resilience of crises.   Rulers corporatised education and health. They take care of their political security at the cost of the people. Gen Z in India is made to lose the capacity to recover from difficulties, setbacks, and stress. Youth, without the knowledge of marital life, is marrying, and without parental knowledge, begetting children. Alternative educative forces neglected their responsibility. Citizens became passive towards the unlawful ruling. Adults without helping hands and students, being deprived of questioning and proactive thinking, are swept by the mad propaganda of the rulers. Shouldn't we learn lessons from the incidents of Srilanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal?

PIED PIPER OF HAMELIN

Image
Pied Piper of Hamelin driving the children out, a revenge of the unfulfilled promise. Shouldn't we take a lesson from this?  The Pied Piper is a German folktale of Hamelin town. A historical event of 1284. Hamelin was plagued by rats. A piper, dressed in pied (colorful) clothes, offers to rid the town of rats for a fee. He plays a magical tune on his pipe, luring the rats into the Weser River, where they drown. Townspeople refuse to pay him. The piper retaliates by playing another tune, leading 130 of the town’s children into a cave, never seen again. The tale is a paradoxical caution to the rulers and a reminder of revenge by people about fake political promises.

Former Prime Minister of Japan General Hideki Tojo (spectacled and baldheaded at the center) being trialled in the Tokyo Trials.  Tokyo Trials, International Military Tribunal for the Far East, were held from 3.5.1946 to 12.11.1948, to prosecute Japanese leaders for war crimes in World War II. The Tribunal was established by Allied powers, led by the US, to trial atrocities in the 2nd Sino-Japanese War, Pearl Harbor, and treatment of war prisoners. 28 high-ranked army officers and politicians, like ex-P.M. Hideki Tojo, were tried. Emperor Hirohito was not indicted. The accused faced war crimes against peace and humanity. 7, including Tojo, were executed on 23.12.1948. 16 received life. Critics and dissenting Indian judge Radhabinod Pal argued the trials were biased (victors ignored Allied war crimes), the Retroactive application of crimes against peace, and exemption of the Emperor. The trials fixed accountability for war crimes, set precedents for international law.

WORLD'S FIRST PHOTOGRAPH

Image
August 19 is World Photography Day. This is the World's First Photograph of a man. The French Government published the Photographic process in Paris, free to the world as a gift, on 19 August 1839.  In 1838, Louis Daguerre used daguerreotype photography to snap a photo of the Boulevard du Temple in Paris. The streets in the photo appear deserted. The exposure time for the photo was so long that the cars and trams could not be captured. Only a man having his shoes shined and the shoeshiner were motionless enough to be caught. This is the first photograph of a person. The Daguerreotype was the first process of photography, announced in 1839. For the following 20 years, it was the most common process. Louis Daguerre demonstrated his 'daguerreotype' photographic process to the French Academy of Sciences on 19.8.1839.

SAFRONISED INDIA

Image
78 years' "Independent" India has since been safronised. Confirmed its grammatical negativity. More deteriorated since 11 years.  Indian independence is for the rulers and their rich to loot. Present rulers don't know the meaning of the Republic. They are afraid of the intellectuals, writers, social workers and words like socialism, secularism and communism. They are heavily loaded with hate and intolerance towards the "others". Murdered humanity. Safronised the constitutional institutions. They misused them for their benefit. Democracy, made plutocracy earlier, is converted as the Financial Corporation of rulers' favourites. It became an autocracy. An undeclared adverse emergency is imposed. Followers of the rulers in the centre and their supporters in the states are practising strong courtesy bias for political power. People's parties are split and trying unsuccessfully to wage "united" lip services and nominal reactive protests. In the...
